MA/MS in Education, General

This fully online graduate program is aimed at practicing classroom teachers who want to sharpen their craft. Its emphasis is on techniques that keep learners involved and that make everyday instruction more responsive to the needs of each class. Students bring together current research on teaching and learning with practical planning skills. They learn to shape lessons around what interests their pupils, to accommodate different learning styles, and to keep motivation high. A portion of the coursework is self-paced and supported by a dedicated facilitator, with content aligned to teaching standards used by educators at home and abroad. The program is built so that teachers can try new methods in their own classrooms immediately. Employers who reimburse tuition may defer payment, and financial aid is available to students who qualify.
