Program details

Overview

Xavier University's Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Accounting is for students who enjoy working with numbers and want a career built on them. The program is housed in the Williams College of Business, which holds AACSB accreditation. Students learn to keep accurate financial records, resolve tax questions and make ethical, strategic decisions for companies and individuals. The curriculum works toward the hours Ohio expects of candidates for the certified public accountant exam, and students can continue into the university's master's in accountancy to complete that requirement over five years. Small classes and faculty who are both researchers and practicing professionals provide personal mentorship. Graduates can move into accounting, information systems, cost management, taxation, auditing or government accounting roles.
