This Bachelor of Applied Science focuses on networking and system administration. It is built for students who already hold an applied associate degree and want a route to a four-year, career-oriented credential.
The curriculum blends lower-division technical and transfer coursework with upper-division information technology study, adding broader general education to the technical base. Graduates learn to evaluate and recommend approaches to managing information systems while respecting legal, regulatory, ethical and privacy expectations, and to explain complex technical ideas to clients, colleagues and managers.
Classes meet in the evening, with each course gathering one time a week for two hours and the rest of the instruction and interaction taking place online. Full-time students can often finish within two years, and after admission a student may begin in the next quarter. The program coordinator can be reached at the Yakima campus.
