Overview
Founded 1902 as Sanjiang Teachers Public School.
Became National Central University and Nanjing University. The Food Industry Department of the Nanjing Institute of Engineering moved to Wuxi and set up the Wuxi Light Industry Institute 1958.
Renamed as University of Light Industry 1995. Merged with Jiangnan College and Wuxi College of Education and renamed Jiangnan University 2001.
Part of "211 Project" universities.
