Founded 1945 as Guangxi Provincial Yulin Normal School.
Successively became Yulin Normal School 1952, Guangxi Yulin Special District Vocational College 1958, Yulin Special District Normal School 1962, Yulin Normal Vocational College 1978, Yulin Normal Junior College 1994. Acquired present status 2000 following the merger with Yulin Education College, Yulin Junior Vocational College of Technology, Yulin branch of Guangxi Radio and Television University.
