Institut Polytechnique de Bordeaux, known as Bordeaux INP, is a public engineering institute in Bordeaux and a member of the national INP Group, which also includes the institutes of Clermont, Grenoble, Lorraine and Toulouse.

Its schools cover a wide range of engineering fields: cognitics, geosciences and environment, electronics, computer science, telecommunications, mathematics and mechanics, chemistry, biology, materials, food science, biotechnology, energetics, chemical engineering, water, civil engineering and industrial performance. Students can enter through a preparatory course or directly into one of the engineering schools, and training is available in initial, continuing and work-study formats, including apprenticeships.

The programmes are supported by eleven research laboratories, and many teachers come from business and industry. International mobility is a priority, with around 130 partnership agreements on five continents, Erasmus+ exchanges, bilateral FITEC programmes with Brazil, Argentina, Mexico and Chile, and a scholarship for foreign students at one of its chemistry schools.

Some units, such as the ENSEGID geosciences school, offer English-language course units at Master level for exchange students.

The institute also runs entrepreneurship, research and career-insertion services, and special arrangements for students with disabilities, elite athletes and artists.
