Overview
The Master of Arts in Educational Studies at Bishop's University is a 45-credit graduate program offered by the School of Education, available in Major and Thesis-Based options. Students examine the social, historical, cultural, and linguistic dimensions of education, engaging with questions of power, diversity, gender, and marginalization in educational settings. The program prepares graduates for work as administrators, educational leaders, educators, and researchers in schools and other organizational, professional, and community settings. Admission Requirements: Completed Bachelor of Education or appropriate equivalent with a minimum average of 75%. Applicants normally have at least two years of relevant educational experience (teaching or related professional experience). Required: two references using the School of Education Reference Form, university transcript, letter of intent, and CV/resume (MA applicants also submit a one-page research interests description). Applicants whose native language is not English and who have not studied for at least three years in English must meet the university's English proficiency test requirement.
