Overview
Champlain Regional College is an English-language public college (CEGEP) network in Quebec, made up of three constituent colleges that each operate as their own campus: Champlain College Lennoxville, near downtown Sherbrooke in the Estrie region, which shares facilities with Bishop's University; Champlain College Saint-Lambert, on Montreal's South Shore in the Montérégie region; and Champlain – St.
Lawrence, in the Sainte-Foy area of Quebec City, the only public English-language CEGEP in the Quebec City region. A central office in Sherbrooke coordinates governance and administrative services shared across the three campuses and their relations with the surrounding community, while day-to-day teaching, admissions and program delivery are managed by each campus individually.
Together the three colleges offer pre-university and technical Diplôme d'études collégiales (DEC) programs, along with continuing education, attestation of collegial studies (AEC) programs, and recognition-of-acquired-competencies services for adult learners. Program offerings vary by campus: some DEC programs and profiles, such as Nursing or the Science DEC, are shared across multiple campuses, while others, including several technical and arts profiles, are specific to a single site.
The network serves the English-speaking student population of the Estrie, Montérégie and Capitale-Nationale regions of Quebec.
