Overview
This is the in-school technical training component of the harmonized Electrician (Construction Electrician) apprenticeship, delivered at Camosun's Interurban campus for sponsored apprentices registered with SkilledTradesBC. Training covers the installation, commissioning, testing, maintenance and servicing of electrical systems and equipment, and is organized into four levels of ten weeks each, taken about once a year between periods of paid, employer-supervised on-the-job work that makes up around 80 percent of an apprentice's time. Each level ends with a SkilledTradesBC exam, and completing all four levels qualifies the apprentice for Red Seal Certification.
