Overview
The Retail Operations Certificate provides designing retail experiences, analyzing key performance indicators and statistics, managing merchandise through supply chains and managing, motivating and evaluating employees. You'll gain fundamental business skills, including leadership, retail marketing and operations, and people management. After graduating from the certificate program, you’ll have the skills and credits to either go into the workforce with your new skills or continue your studies in CapU’s business administration degree or diploma programs.
Requirements
Admission Requirements: Admission requires B.C. secondary school graduation or equivalent; preference is given to applicants with a minimum C grade in Math 11 and a minimum C+ grade in English Studies 12, English 12, or English First Peoples 12. The programme page defers to Capilano's general English Language Requirements for applicants educated in a language other than English: IELTS Academic 6.5 overall (no band below 6), TOEFL iBT 83, CAEL 70, PTE Academic 56, or Duolingo English Test 125+ (no sub-score below 115). Grade 12 students may apply for conditional admission on their final Grade 11 and/or interim Grade 12 marks through EducationPlannerBC, with final admission depending on graduation and meeting programme requirements. The certificate is delivered part-time, with Spring and Summer intakes.
