You'll develop your foundational knowledge of the principles of kinesiology with courses in active health planning, biomechanics, leadership, sport sociology and human physiology. You'll also tackle more complex topics like training in exercise psychology, human motor skills and behaviour, mental theories in sport and exercise and health policy. Each course features Indigenous content, including storytellers, guest speakers, field trips and support from Elders. Completing University One will give you 12 100-level credits toward degree, diploma and certificate programs at CapU. The courses cover writing strategies, mathematics and study skills, and include a 100-level elective.
The Tourism Marketing Citation provides the basics of sales and marketing and explore your interest with an elective in eco-tourism, hotels, events and more. If you don't have the admission requirements to enter the diploma or degree, this introductory program enables you get started on your tourism management studies while completing your academic upgrading. You'll learn the basics about the industry and how the different relationships between partners work. You'll also learn about the sales process and explore different marketing strategies. Once you've completed your upgrading you can ladder directly into the diploma or degree.
The Rehabilitation Assistant Diploma focuses on courses in rehabilitation principles and practices, anatomy, musculoskeletal theory, physiology, therapeutic communication, disease, injury and intervention and more. You'll also work in three separate health care fieldwork placements, totaling 15 weeks on the job, learning alongside experienced clinicians.
