Overview
The Interaction Design Diploma focuses on areas such as UX/UI design, user research, visual design, motion design, coding, branding, web/app design and working with new technologies and how to manage digital environments and workflows. You'll learn in project-based, hands-on experiential environment. Courses are taught by faculty from the local design community and apply the same programs and tools working professionals use. Prior to graduation, you'll complete an Interaction Design Capstone project, an opportunity to combine research, theory and technical skills.

Admission Requirements: Domestic entry requires BC secondary school graduation (Grade 12) or equivalent. Program-specific conditions add one letter of reference and an introductory video. Because ENGL 100 is a required first-term course, applicants must submit the results of Capilano's English Diagnostic Test (EDT) unless they qualify for an EDT exemption. Applicants educated in a language other than English must additionally meet Capilano's general English Language Requirement, referenced on the programme page: IELTS Academic 6.5 overall (no band below 6), TOEFL iBT 83, CAEL 70, PTE Academic 56, or Duolingo English Test 125+ (no sub-score below 115). No minimum GPA, portfolio, or interview is stated beyond secondary graduation.

Application Deadline:Domestic and international applicants both apply through EducationPlannerBC: the domestic application fee is $50 CAD and the international fee is $135 CAD, each covering up to two programmes.
