Overview
**This program was previously known as the Global Hospitality and Tourism Management Post-Baccalaureate Diploma.**
The Global Leadership in Sustainable Tourism Post-Baccalaureate Diploma is designed for people with bachelor's degrees who are interested in becoming agents of positive change by advocating for sustainable tourism practices.You'll develop the skills to lead hospitality and tourism initiatives, balancing economic growth, cultural integrity and environmental sustainability. You'll take courses in tourism and climate change, environmental stewardship, and food sovereignty. Included is also additional training in policy advocacy, community engagement and ethical business management. You'll also participate in a full-time practicum, and choose two electives to round out your diploma.
Requirements
Admission Requirements: Admission requires completion of an undergraduate degree from a recognized institution with a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher, though the programme gives preference to applicants with a 2.5 or higher over their final two years of study; the page does not state the scale the GPA is calculated on. Applicants must also submit a resume or a summary of relevant experience. English language proficiency, where education was not completed in English, is met by TOEFL paper-based 540 / internet-based 75, IELTS Academic 6.0 overall with no band below 5.5 and a minimum of 6.0 in writing, CAEL 60, PTE Academic 53, Capilano's own EAP 090 course completed at a minimum B+ grade, or completion of the equivalent level through an approved Pathway Partner institution.
