This Double DEC combines the pre-university Arts, lettres et communication program at Cégep de Drummondville — offered in a Langues profile and a Multidisciplinaire profile, either of which can be paired here — with the pre-university Danse program, so students complete both diplomas over three years. The Arts, lettres et communication side prepares students for university studies in languages, communication, literature or the humanities, depending on the profile chosen, while the dance side combines technical training with choreography and dance history, geared toward university dance programs or professional performance work. Running the two curricula together lengthens the program by a year compared with a single pre-university DEC, and admission requires meeting the entrance requirements — including the dance program's audition — of both individual programs. On completion, students receive two separate Diplômes d'études collégiales. Admission Requirements: Admission to this double-DEC pathway (Arts, lettres et communication, option Langues, combined with Danse) follows Cegep de Drummondville's general collegial admission conditions: a Diplome d'etudes secondaires (DES); or a DEP plus completed Secondary 5 language of instruction, Secondary 5 second language and Secondary 4 mathematics; or no more than 6 units missing toward the DES, admitted via Tremplin DEC with the outstanding courses completed in the first term, per the institution's own admission requirements. The programme page additionally requires a secondary 5 school record with a grade above 70% in French, and applicants must separately satisfy the specific requirements of each of the two chosen programs (Arts, lettres et communication and Danse); the standalone Danse page states no prior dance experience is required, with a placement test only after admission.
