DEC préuniversitaire de deux ans (506.A0) en danse : technique, création chorégraphique, interprétation et histoire de la danse, appuyées par les productions scéniques du collège. Voie d'accès aux études universitaires en danse et aux écoles supérieures de formation. Admission à l'automne; combinable en double DEC.

Requirements

Admission Requirements: The programme page states only that applicants must satisfy Cegep de Drummondville's general collegial admission conditions, with no prior dance experience required. Per the institution's own admission requirements, that means holding a Diplome d'etudes secondaires (DES); a DEP plus completed Secondary 5 language of instruction, Secondary 5 second language and Secondary 4 mathematics; or being no more than 6 units short of the DES via Tremplin DEC. Rather than an audition, admitted students complete a mandatory placement test after enrolment so they can be grouped at the appropriate level; this test is not itself a selection criterion. No language-test score or portfolio is published. The programme is non-contingente, accepts international students, with Fall-only intake and a standard duration of 2 years.

Application Deadline: Domestic applicants apply through the Service régional d'admission du Montréal métropolitain (SRAM): for Fall 2027 entry, round one closes 1 March 2027, round two 22 April 2027, and round three 27 May 2027; Winter 2027 entry is already open, with round one closing 1 November 2026 and round two closing 25-26 November 2026 (late admission runs to 12 January 2027). International applicants follow a separate SRAM timeline: Fall 2027 applications run from 15 March 2026 to 14 March 2027, and Winter 2028 applications run from 1 June 2026 to 31 May 2027 (Winter 2027 international applications are already closed). Admission is not open-ended rolling, but SRAM runs successive rounds for as long as places remain, and international intake can close early without notice. These are institution-wide dates; this programme publishes no deadline of its own.
