Overview

DEC technique de trois ans (241.A0) en conception et fabrication mécaniques : dessin technique et DAO, usinage, matériaux, automatisation et contrôle de la qualité. Ancré dans une région manufacturière et appuyé par le CNIMI (centre du manufacturier intelligent opéré avec l'UQTR), le programme mène aux bureaux d'études et aux ateliers de production; des bourses de parrainage d'entreprise sont offertes. Admission à l'automne.

Requirements

Admission Requirements: Beyond Cegep de Drummondville's general college admission conditions, Techniques de genie mecanique requires Secondary 5 Mathematics Culture, societe et technique (CST), or Secondary 4 Mathematics Technico-sciences (TS) or Sciences naturelles (SN), or Mathematics 436, plus Secondary 5 Physics or Physics 534. No English or French language test score is published. The page states the programme is non contingente (not capped by an enrolment quota); a DEC-BAC agreement lets graduates continue into UQTR's mechanical engineering degree. No portfolio, interview, or work-experience condition is stated. Intake is in the Fall term.

Application Deadline: Domestic applicants apply through the Service régional d'admission du Montréal métropolitain (SRAM): for Fall 2027 entry, round one closes 1 March 2027, round two 22 April 2027, and round three 27 May 2027; Winter 2027 entry is already open, with round one closing 1 November 2026 and round two closing 25-26 November 2026 (late admission runs to 12 January 2027). International applicants follow a separate SRAM timeline: Fall 2027 applications run from 15 March 2026 to 14 March 2027, and Winter 2028 applications run from 1 June 2026 to 31 May 2027 (Winter 2027 international applications are already closed). Admission is not open-ended rolling, but SRAM runs successive rounds for as long as places remain, and international intake can close early without notice. These are institution-wide dates; this programme publishes no deadline of its own.
