Overview

CNC Machining is a one-year diploma that builds on prior machining training, teaching students to program and operate computer numerical controlled (CNC) machines to manufacture precision mechanical parts used across manufacturing industries. Admission requires prior completion of a one-year Precision Machining certificate or equivalent, completion of Level 1 of a Machinist Apprenticeship, or completion of Marine Engineering Technician trade training through the Canadian Armed Forces. Coursework covers CNC programming, machine setup and operation, and quality control for manufactured parts, with hands-on training on industry-grade machining equipment. Graduates complete an additional step toward Red Seal Certification in the machinist trade. The programme begins each September. International applicants must meet document and English-language requirements that vary by country of origin.
