Overview

Ce DEC technique de trois ans (141.A0) forme des inhalothérapeutes capables d'évaluer la fonction cardiorespiratoire, d'administrer les traitements et d'assister l'équipe médicale en anesthésie. La formation combine biologie, physique appliquée et pratique clinique et se conclut par des stages en centre hospitalier. Admission à l'automne; le programme mène à l'exercice de la profession d'inhalothérapeute au Québec.

Requirements

Admission Requirements: On top of Cegep de Drummondville's general college admission conditions, Techniques d'inhalotherapie's own admission section requires two secondary-level prerequisites: Chemistry from Secondary 5 (or Chemistry 534), and Mathematics Technico-sciences or Sciences naturelles from Secondary 4 (TS or SN), or Mathematics 436. Students begin a clinical observation placement from the first session and complete more than 900 hours of practicum during the programme, some of it outside Drummondville. Admission is not open-ended rolling, but SRAM runs successive rounds for as long as places remain, and international intake can close early without notice.
