Overview

Techniques d'administration et de gestion (DEC 410.G0) is a technical program launched at Cégep de Sorel-Tracy in fall 2025, replacing the college's former Techniques de comptabilité et de gestion, Techniques de bureautique and Gestion de commerces programs. It trains technicians to work across organizations of different types, sectors and sizes, taking on tasks such as planning, coordination, analysis, control and evaluation within the businesses or organizations that employ them. This entry corresponds to the Comptabilité et stratégies financières specialization, one of three tracks offered alongside a shared core curriculum; all students in the program develop skills in project management, human-resources support, customer-service optimization, budgeting, marketing, accounting, professional document preparation and data management, regardless of which specialization they choose. The accounting and financial-strategy track builds on this shared base with a stronger focus on accounting and financial decision-making. The program page notes that students are required to have their own laptop computer. It suits students interested in the technical and administrative side of running organizations, and prepares graduates for administration and accounting-support roles across private, public, parapublic and non-profit organizations.

Requirements

Admission Requirements: This programme states no particular prerequisites of its own: admission follows Cégep de Sorel-Tracy's general college admission conditions, a Quebec DES or DEP with passes in Secondary V language of instruction, Secondary V second language, and Secondary IV mathematics. Applications are submitted through SRAM (admission.sram.qc.ca) as a regular candidate, with a non-refundable $30 fee. International applicants are admitted for the Fall session only and, unless they studied in French, in Quebec, in France, or at an accredited French lycée, must submit a French-proficiency test result — Bright Language, TCF tout public, DELF tout public (minimum level B2), DALF, or TEF — plus an $85 CAD SRAM application-analysis fee, by the 14 March deadline.

Application Details

Start Date: September
Application Deadline: Domestic applicants apply through SRAM (admission.sram.qc.ca): the college's page currently shows fall-intake rounds of 1 March, 22 April and 27 May 2026 (the cycle that has already started) and winter 2027 rounds of 1 November and 25 November 2026, with later applications assessed in successive rounds while seats remain; fall 2027 round dates were not yet published at the time of this check. International applicants apply through SRAM's international stream and must submit by 14 March for fall entry only, as the college does not offer winter intake to international students; SRAM does not publish a separate rolling window for these applicants beyond that fixed date. These are institution-wide dates; this programme publishes no deadline of its own.
