Cert in Mental Health Intervention

This AEC programme prepares students to support individuals experiencing mental health difficulties within interdisciplinary care settings. Coursework covers explaining common mental health disorders, coordinating interventions for anxiety, mood, psychotic, personality, and concurrent disorders, and developing a reflexive, ethical professional identity as a mental health worker. The programme totals 300 hours delivered over 21 months, part-time, in a fully online format with weekly evening sessions and a pause over July and August. Graduates earn an Attestation d'études collégiales (AEC) and are prepared to work alongside interdisciplinary teams supporting people living with mental health disorders. Admission is restricted to Canadian citizens or permanent residents, and participants need a desktop or laptop computer with webcam, headset, and high-speed internet, as mobile devices are not sufficient for the online delivery.
