Software Engineering Technology (Fast-Track) (Online) is an Ontario College Advanced Diploma offered by Centennial College's School of Information Technology, delivered online through a mix of synchronous and asynchronous instruction. The fast-track structure is designed for college or university graduates who already have a background in software engineering: qualifying applicants enter directly at the third-semester point of the standard Software Engineering Technology program, finishing the last four semesters through online study and earning the advanced diploma within roughly two years. The curriculum centres on AI-oriented software engineering, covering AI-assisted programming and code-generation tools, agentic and task-oriented development workflows using orchestration frameworks such as LangGraph and LangChain, agile and DevOps practices with CI/CD automation, software testing and quality assurance, and project management for AI-supported delivery. Coursework has students coding in multiple languages, among them Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, C#, Java, and Kotlin, while building full-stack applications with frameworks such as React, Next.js, Node.js, and .NET, and gaining cloud-native experience through AWS, Azure, Docker, and Kubernetes. The program includes two capstone projects in which students design software systems using AI-augmented workflows. Admission Requirements: This fast-track advanced diploma admits applicants holding a diploma or degree in computer science, information technology, software engineering, or a related discipline, or a combination of a partial credential and relevant professional experience, assessed through transcript and resume review and prior educational documentation. English proficiency is satisfied through Centennial's own English Admission Test or by meeting the general language-proficiency page's Standard Programs scale: IELTS Academic 6.0 with no band under 5.5, TOEFL iBT 67 with Reading at least 16 and Writing at least 23, PTE Academic 51 or higher, or Duolingo 105 or higher. No portfolio or interview is required, and no minimum admission GPA is published; a 2.0 cumulative GPA is required for graduation, not admission.

Application Deadline:Centennial publishes no application deadline for this program; what follows is the Ontario college cycle that governs it. Domestic applicants apply through ontariocolleges.ca: for a program starting in Fall 2027 the equal-consideration date is 1 February 2027, and applications arriving after it are still assessed, but first-come first-served while places remain. Across the Ontario college system the application opened on 26 September 2026, offers may be issued from 1 November 2026, and an offer must be accepted by 1 May 2027. One $150 fee covers up to five program choices. International applicants apply directly to Centennial through its own international application process and are assessed on a rolling basis across the Fall, Winter and Summer intakes; the college publishes no fixed international closing date. These are institution-wide dates; this programme publishes no deadline of its own.
