Requirements

Admission Requirements: Confederation College's Civil Engineering Technician diploma admits domestic applicants with an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (or equivalent) including Grade 12 English at the College or University level, or equivalent qualification via the Mature Student Assessment, the Canadian Adult Education Credential or GED completed before May 2024, or Academic and Career Entrance (ACE) credits, plus Grade 11 Mathematics (M or U) or Grade 12 Mathematics (C or U), or equivalent, or ACE Core Math. International applicants need an equivalent high school or senior secondary diploma with a Grade 12 math credit, original transcripts and notarized translations where applicable, and must meet the programme's English proficiency requirement of Academic IELTS overall 6.0 with no band below 5.5.

Start Date: Fall

Application Deadline: Domestic applicants apply through ontariocolleges.ca: for Fall 2027 entry the application opened 26 September 2026 and the province-wide equal-consideration date is 1 February 2027; Confederation also publishes its own equal-consideration dates of 1 March for Winter-entry programmes and 1 April for Spring-entry programmes. After these dates, files are assessed on a rolling, first-come basis while seats remain, and the college flags Aviation, Health, Engineering Technology and Community Services programmes as filling quickly. International applicants apply via international.ocas.ca; intakes close roughly six weeks before each semester starts and a programme can close earlier once seats fill, so no fixed international closing date is published. These are institution-wide dates; this programme publishes no deadline of its own.
