Overview
This three-year DEC technique in Building Engineering Technology focuses on the mechanical systems used in buildings, training students to understand, design, and coordinate systems for climatization, ventilation, heating, refrigeration, plumbing, fire protection, and electrical efficiency. The curriculum emphasizes practical problem-solving and project coordination through classroom and laboratory instruction delivered on campus at the Charlesbourg campus. The programme includes two paid work-study internships and offers an optional semester abroad in France through the DEC Monde exchange option. Students can also complete ASP Construction certification during the first year. Graduates are prepared for technical roles coordinating and maintaining mechanical building systems in the construction and building-services sector. International student enrolment is available, and students budget approximately $300 per session for books, plan printing, and materials beyond regular tuition; a personal computer is strongly recommended.

Admission Requirements: Applicants require Mathematics TS or SN from Secondary 4, along with Science ST and STE from Secondary 4, or Science ATS and SE from Secondary 4, in addition to the general Diploma of Secondary Studies (DES) requirements for admission to a DEC technique programme.
