Requirements

Admission Requirements: Admission requires an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (or equivalent), including Grade 12 English at the College or University (C/U) level, or an equivalent Mature Student Assessment, GED, or Academic and Career Entrance (ACE) credit, plus Grade 11 Math (College or University Preparation, or ACE Core Math UM602), Grade 11 or 12 Biology, and Grade 11 or 12 Chemistry, each with a minimum final grade of 65% (a 65% midterm and final mark is required if a course is still in progress). Applicants must turn 18 by the start of semester 2 to obtain the Police Vulnerable Sector Check required for hospital and field placements, hold a full G licence by the start of semester 3 for ambulance-operations training, and obtain an F-class licence by the start of semester 4 to work as a paramedic in Ontario. This program is not currently open to international applicants, so no English-proficiency test is specified. Applicants short of the entry requirements are directed to the Pre-Health Sciences-Pathway to Certificates and Diplomas program, which requires a minimum 65% each semester and does not guarantee later admission.
