BA/BS in Commerce (Co-op)

The Bachelor of Commerce with Co-operative Education is an undergraduate degree in Dalhousie's Faculty of Management, based in Halifax with a September start. Foundational courses cover macroeconomics, business communication, and organizational behaviour before students specialize in one of seven majors: Accounting, Entrepreneurship, Finance, International Business, Managing People and Organizations, Marketing, or Supply Chain and Logistics Management. The co-op stream adds three paid work terms, totalling about a year of professional experience, which can be completed locally, nationally, or internationally with employers spanning marketing agencies, accounting firms, banks, government, and nonprofits. Students can add an approved minor or one of five certificates, including options in financial accounting, fintech and financial innovation, leadership, management accounting, and quantitative finance. The program suits students focused on business careers in finance, accounting, marketing, entrepreneurship, or supply chain management who want paid work experience built into their degree.
