English proficiency for applicants whose first language is not English: IELTS Academic 6.0 overall with no band below 5.5, TOEFL iBT 79, PTE Academic 53 with no skill below 45, CAEL 60 with no band below 50, Cambridge English 169 with no skill below 162, Duolingo 105 with no sub-score below 95, LanguageCert Academic 65 with no skill below 60, or Fanshawe ESL at 80% in Level 8, 75% in Level 9, or 70% in Level 10. When applications exceed available spaces, Fanshawe gives preference to Ontario permanent residents, then to applications received by February 1, then to academic achievement; no portfolio or interview is listed.
