Overview
Marketing professionals drive organizational success for corporations and non-profits by translating customer desires into effective strategies. Students learn to assess market opportunities, segment target markets, and create strategies and tactics that help achieve organizational goals. Students build a solid business foundation and develop skills across the spectrum of marketing activity, from research, through strategy development and planning, sales, digital marketing and social media, and persuasive communication across media platforms. Through a busy, student-run agency, students work on a wide range of projects which they ultimately pitch to the clients for possible implementation.
Requirements
Admission Requirements: Georgian requires an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent for direct entry to this Diploma, or mature-student status for applicants without one. The programme's own prerequisites are Grade 12 English at the College or University level (ENG4C or ENG4U) and any Grade 11 or Grade 12 Mathematics at the College, University/College or University level, with a Grade 11 College or University-level course such as MBF3C or MCF3M needing at least 60 per cent. Mature applicants aged 19 or older, non-secondary-school applicants, and home-schooled applicants can also be considered, meeting the requirement through equivalent courses, upgrading, GED completion, or equivalency testing, and applicants with prior post-secondary coursework or relevant life or learning experience may qualify through Georgian's Credit for Prior Learning process. The programme page states no programme-specific language-test score; Georgian's institution-wide English Language Proficiency Requirement for diploma programmes applies instead — a minimum overall IELTS Academic score of 6.0, TOEFL iBT 79, or Duolingo English Test 110, from Georgian's international admissions page.

Programs outside the highly competitive list carry no equal-consideration date and are assessed on a rolling basis year-round. International applicants apply directly through Georgian's own portal with no published closing date and are assessed on a rolling basis while seats remain, though Georgian warns a program open when applied to may close before assessment. These are institution-wide dates; this programme publishes no deadline of its own.
