Overview
Cybersecurity Technician is a two-year Ontario College Diploma delivered through a hybrid mix of online and in-person instruction at Georgian College's Barrie Downtown campus, giving students a comprehensive foundation in protecting against digital threats. The curriculum builds a broad understanding of cloud security, ethical hacking, digital forensics, and incident response, alongside networking, scripting, and automation, and culminates in a capstone project that lets students apply these skills to a substantial security problem. Students are required to bring a personal notebook computer meeting program-specified hardware requirements. Requirements
Admission Requirements: Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent, or mature student status, including Grade 12 English (C or U) and Grade 11 Mathematics (C, M, or U) or Grade 12 Mathematics (C or U). Mature students, non-secondary applicants (19+), and home-schooled applicants may qualify through alternative pathways.
