Georgian College offers HD in Business Administration, a higher diploma in Business Administration programme in Barrie, Canada. The programme runs for 6 semesters, delivered on campus. Teaching is in English. Tuition for international students is CAD 7,619 per semester (CAD 1,387 per semester for local students).
Core study introduces the fundamentals of business with a focus on how people and processes are managed, through classes in economics, accounting, marketing and human resources that set up later study or career paths. Graduates leave with the option of entering the workforce right away or continuing on, since the diploma connects to several degree and postgraduate diploma routes.
Requirements
Admission Requirements: Georgian requires an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent for direct entry to this Diploma, or mature-student status for applicants without one. The programme's own prerequisites, shared with Georgian's standard Business diploma, are Grade 12 English at the College or University level (ENG4C or ENG4U) and any Grade 11 or Grade 12 Mathematics at the College, University/College or University level, with a Grade 11 College or University-level course such as MBF3C or MCF3M needing at least 60 per cent. Mature applicants aged 19 or older, non-secondary-school applicants, and home-schooled applicants can also be considered, meeting the requirement through equivalent courses, upgrading, GED completion, or equivalency testing, and applicants with prior post-secondary coursework or relevant life or learning experience may qualify through Georgian's Credit for Prior Learning process. The programme page states no programme-specific language-test score; Georgian's institution-wide English Language Proficiency Requirement for diploma programmes applies instead — a minimum overall IELTS Academic score of 6.0, TOEFL iBT 79, or Duolingo English Test 110, from Georgian's international admissions page.
