Georgian College offers HD in Denturism (Online, Halifax cohort), a higher diploma in Dentistry programme in Barrie, Canada. The programme runs for 3 years, delivered on campus. Teaching is in English. Tuition for international students is CAD 13,534 per semester (CAD 6,467 per semester for local students).
This program builds knowledge matched to the scope of practice of a denturist as a regulated health-care profession, including work toward helping clients achieve a confident smile. Decisions, judgments and interventions are guided by a problem-solving framework grounded in current theory and research, with emphasis on interprofessional education and collaborative work within an oral health-care team. Clinical training spans immediate dentures, implants, and complete and partial prosthetics, and students use design software, scanners, printers and mills to fabricate digital dentures. The curriculum also covers legal and ethical responsibilities and business practices tied to self-employment, preparing graduates for independent practice.
