Requirements
Admission Requirements: Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent with Grade 12 English (C or U) at 75 per cent or better, Grade 11 Mathematics (M or U) or Grade 12 Mathematics (C or U) at 75 per cent, Grade 11 Biology (C or U) or Grade 12 Biology (U) at 75 per cent, and Grade 11 Chemistry or Physics (U) or the Grade 12 (C or U) equivalent at 75 per cent. Mature applicants may test for the English component only - the mathematics, biology and chemistry/physics requirements must be held as credits. English cannot be satisfied with a language test for this program. Domestic applicants submitting international transcripts need a Canadian equivalency evaluation from ICAS or WES. Selection is highly competitive: a formula weighs academic strength together with any completed, publicly funded, accredited health-science credential at post-secondary level, such as dental assisting, denturism, dental technology, dentistry or a health-science BSc, and successful applicants typically hold grades well above the published floor. Applicants who fall short can prepare through the A108 Pre-Health Sciences pathway, which does not guarantee entry. After acceptance the clinical pre-placement package takes 10 to 12 weeks and covers immunisation records (Tdap, MMR, varicella, hepatitis B titres, two-step TB skin test), a clear Vulnerable Sector Check renewed annually, Basic Life Support, an annual flu shot and mask fit testing; travel to off-site placements is required and clinic hours can start early and run into evenings or weekends. In the 2026-27 cycle the program is open to domestic applicants only.

International applicants apply directly to George Brown and are assessed on a rolling, selective basis until the intake is full; George Brown publishes no fixed international closing date, though for the 2026-27 cycle the September, January and May intakes opened 6 October 2025, 2 February 2026 and 1 June 2026 respectively. These are institution-wide dates; this programme publishes no deadline of its own.
