Program details
Overview
The MA(Phil) in Educational Leadership is a part-time graduate program for practising K-12 Christian educators, combining Christian scholarship with inquiry-based professional learning. The program consists of a 42-credit-hour course of study delivered mostly asynchronously online, with individualized faculty mentoring and one synchronous course. Students choose among four concentrations: Instructional Leadership for classroom teachers, School Administration for school leaders, and Inclusion or Literacy, the latter two offered in partnership with Calvin University. Coursework is intended to equip educators to build innovative, challenging, and just learning environments. Students may complete the program on a fixed "Three Plus One" schedule of one course per term over roughly three years, or at a self-paced rate. Communication takes place mainly through discussion boards and email rather than live class sessions.
