Overview

Kingswood University's Associate of Arts in Biblical Languages is a two-year, on-campus undergraduate degree focused on Biblical Greek and Biblical Hebrew. The curriculum pairs language instruction with Old Testament Survey, New Testament Survey and exegesis coursework, training students to work directly with scripture in its original languages rather than through translation. Students learn to parse biblical texts and apply exegetical methods to interpret their intended meaning. The programme is intended for students preparing for further theological study or ministry roles that call for close textual engagement with the Bible, and it can serve as a foundation for transfer into a bachelor's-level ministry or biblical studies programme. It leads to an Associate of Arts credential and is delivered over four semesters of full-time study at Kingswood's New Brunswick campus, alongside the university's other undergraduate ministry degrees.

Requirements

Admission Requirements: Applicants must hold a high school diploma or equivalent and have achieved a minimum grade of 70% in college-preparatory level courses taken in grades 10, 11 or 12, including two English credits, two Math or Science credits, and two Social Science credits. Students who do not meet this academic background may still be admitted on a conditional basis, with their first semester serving as a qualifying semester.
