Overview
Kingswood University's Associate of Arts in Evangelism and Compassion Ministry is a two-year, on-campus undergraduate degree preparing students for outreach ministry among vulnerable populations, including victims of human trafficking, prisoners, and people experiencing poverty. Coursework covers Foundations of Social Justice, Personal Evangelism, Introduction to Counselling and Spiritual Formation, combined with Regional, Urban and Cross-Cultural Praxis placements. Alongside classroom study, students take part in weekly visits to settings such as street missions, soup kitchens, prisons, drug rehabilitation centres and at-risk youth programs, giving direct exposure to the communities the programme trains them to serve. It leads to an Associate of Arts credential over four semesters of full-time study and prepares graduates for compassion-focused ministry roles or further study at the bachelor's level.
Requirements
Admission Requirements: Applicants must hold a high school diploma or equivalent and have achieved a minimum grade of 70% in college-preparatory level courses taken in grades 10, 11 or 12, including two English credits, two Math or Science credits, and two Social Science credits. Students who do not meet this academic background may still be admitted on a conditional basis, with their first semester serving as a qualifying semester.
