Overview
Offerte en formule accélérée en trois étapes consécutives — soit en moins d'un an — aux campus d'Ottawa et d'Orléans, cette formation développe les compétences d'installation, d'entretien et de dépannage des appareils de chauffage résidentiel et commercial léger, ainsi que des systèmes de climatisation et de réfrigération. L'étudiant passe environ la moitié de sa formation en atelier, notamment au Centre des métiers Minto du campus Alphonse-Desjardins à Orléans, et suit des cours appliqués d'électricité, de sciences, de calcul et de communication professionnelle. Le cursus couvre les modules menant aux certificats de technicien en appareillage de mazout OBT3 et OBT2 et de technicien en appareillage au gaz G3 et G2 de la TSSA, dont les certificats de compétence G2 et OBT2 sont reconnus en Ontario et au Québec.

Admission Requirements: For domestic applicants the page lists three accepted secondary credentials: the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent; Quebec's Diplôme d'études secondaires (DES); or New Brunswick's Diplôme d'études secondaires (DES). Applicants 19 or older without a diploma may instead pass La Cité's French-language mature-applicant test. If more qualified applicants apply than there are seats, La Cité selects among them using secondary-level mathematics results or the mature-applicant test score, so admission is competitive. Before classes start, admitted students must have an up-to-date immunization record. International applicants must hold a secondary-school diploma or baccalaureate, or be in their final year of secondary school with proof of enrolment. La Cité describes its admission process as competitive because of limited capacity, and states that admission is never guaranteed even when every published requirement is met. The page also notes that, as of this fetch, the programme was already full and no longer accepting Fall 2026 applications from either domestic or international candidates. Instruction is in French.

These are institution-wide dates; this programme publishes no deadline of its own.
