The Nursing Practice in Canada (PDD NPIC) Post-Degree Diploma is designed to effectively prepare Internationally Educated Nurses (IEN) for eligibility and application for nurse licensure and nursing practice positions. The program content includes critical thinking, clinical judgment and decision making, verbal and written communication, and cultural safety as applied within the health care setting. You will have opportunities within the classroom, nursing laboratory and clinical practice setting to apply nursing knowledge, build your clinical competency and enhance your psychomotor skills. Requirements
Admission Requirements: Applicants need a Bachelor of Science in Nursing or a three-year nursing diploma completed within the last four years, and current registration or licensure as a nurse in a country other than Canada; those who graduated more than four years earlier must instead submit a Supplemental Application Form documenting at least half-time Registered Nurse work experience. English proficiency is Category 2, Langara's baseline: English Studies 12/Literary Studies 12 at 50%, IELTS Academic 6.5, TOEFL iBT 80 (Writing 20, Reading 20, Listening 18, Speaking 18), Duolingo 110, CAEL 60, or PTE Academic 56. All applicants complete a supplemental application form and a 10-minute video interview. No minimum GPA, criminal-record-check or immunization requirement is stated on the admissions page.
