Overview

The Bachelor of Science at MacEwan University, offered through the Faculty of Arts and Science, is an undergraduate degree built around flexibility, allowing students to pursue a broad and varied course of study across scientific disciplines. Rather than locking students into one narrow track, the program is designed to let them combine breadth and depth of study according to their interests, developing both specialist knowledge and generalist scientific literacy. Core skills emphasized include critical thinking, careful observation, clear communication, and openness to different perspectives and ways of approaching problems. The program is delivered at MacEwan's campus in Edmonton. It suits students drawn to scientific inquiry who want room to shape a personalized course of study rather than following a single fixed specialization from the outset. Prospective students are directed toward separate admission requirements, application deadlines, detailed program and course listings, and career outcome information to determine specific entry criteria, available areas of focus, and possible career paths, since those specifics are not part of the general program overview.
