Master of Science (Cognitive and Behavioural Ecology)

The Master of Science in Cognitive and Behavioural Ecology (CABE) is an interdisciplinary, thesis-based graduate program at Memorial University of Newfoundland focused on animal behaviour and behavioural ecology, training students in research that integrates cognitive and behavioural studies at the ecological level. The program combines a required set of graduate courses with original research leading to a written and defended thesis, and is designed to be completed in two years of full-time study. It draws on participating faculty with expertise in animal cognition, behavioural ecology and related biological sciences, giving students access to supervision across these areas. The program prepares graduates for research careers in ecology, animal behaviour and comparative cognition, or for further graduate study such as a PhD.
