Engage in diverse fields of mechanical technology including CAD, machine design, automation, robotics, and advanced manufacturing. We are excited to announce that Mohawk College has been awarded over $20,000 in scholarships from the FEF (Foundry Education Foundation)! This includes conference attendance as well as experiential learning where students have the opportunity to work on "live" projects as part of their curriculum. Program Highlights Graduates are prepared for a variety of careers including mechanical design, manufacturing, lean optimization, preventive & predictive maintenance, and project management.  The classroom, hands-on labs and co-op work introduce students to a variety of technologies including industrial robotics, automation, CAD, solid modelling, mechatronics and others.The only postsecondary program in Canada certified by the Foundry Educational Foundation (FEF), with many of our students receiving scholarships annually.Partnerships with major companies including; FANUC Robotics, Rockwell Automation, Siemens and Mitutoyo ensure this program teaches leading edge technology that will give you the skills to be ready for the workforce!The program covers foundational engineering, develops theoretical understanding, and offers students the opportunity to apply their knowledge in advanced labs.What you will learnHow to use computer aided design (AutoCAD and SolidWorks) to design mechanical components and assemblies in 3D.Skills in robotics, PLC programming and CMM with embedded industrial certifications.Technical communication, critical thinking and project management skills.Principles of quality, advanced manufacturing and how to develop sustainable manufacturing processes.Tailor your final year to suit your career of choice!  Select among advanced technical options in Automation, Advanced Manufacturing, Advanced Design, Metal Casting and Capstone Projects.Mohawk College’s Mechanical Engineering Technology program gives you the knowledge and skills to contribute immediately in a wide variety of industries and careers. Requirements

Admission Requirements: Admission requires an Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent (Mohawk Academic Upgrading or GED accepted), including Grade 12 English at the C, U or equivalent level and Grade 12 Mathematics: MAP4C with a mark of at least 80%, or MCT4C (recommended), or any U-level mathematics course or equivalent. Mohawk offers upgrading courses and alternative options for mature applicants who lack these prerequisites. Applicants whose first language is not English must demonstrate proficiency through one of: successful completion of the GAS-English for Academic Purposes (478) program, a TOEFL score of 550 paper-based or 80 internet-based, an IELTS Academic overall score of 6.0 with no band below 5.5, or a Duolingo English Test score of 105-110 with no section below 100; further acceptable certificates are listed on Mohawk's International Admission Requirements page.

Application Details

Application Deadline: Domestic applicants apply through Ontario Colleges: for a September start Mohawk's equal-consideration date is 1 February (1 February 2027 for the next fall intake), and for a January start it is 1 June; after either date, files are considered first-come, first-served while seats remain, with permanent residents of Ontario prioritized, then other Canadian residents, then international applicants. International applicants apply via OCAS's International Application Service on a per-intake deadline rather than one annual date: for January 2027 entry, applications opened February 2026 and the submission deadline is 1 November 2026; Mohawk had not yet published a deadline for the September 2027 intake as of this check. These are institution-wide dates; this programme publishes no deadline of its own.
