Environmental Biology & Technology is a Bachelor of Science offered by Nipissing University, available as an Honours Specialization or Specialization. The programme combines fieldwork, research, and industry-oriented skills across six areas: ecosystem assessment and environmental monitoring, conservation and sustainability practices, environmental biotechnology, soil, water and air quality analysis, environmental legislation and ethical practice, and climate change and habitat protection. Students use tools such as GIS, GPS mapping, and laboratory instrumentation for environmental research and assessment. A dual-degree option with Canadore College lets students earn both a university degree and a college Environmental Technician diploma. The programme can be completed full-time or part-time and is eligible for the Post-Graduation Work Permit. Graduates pursue roles in environmental monitoring, conservation, biotechnology, and regulatory compliance, or continue to graduate study in environmental or biological sciences.
