Trades - Apprenticeship in Steamfitter/Pipefitter Apprenticeship

This apprenticeship program covers four separate levels of school-based, in-class training for the steamfitter/pipefitter trade, delivered alongside the workplace hours and assessments regulated by Skilled Trades BC. Each level runs as a discrete block at the Dawson Creek campus, where the full level must be completed on site; Levels 1 and 2 run approximately seven weeks each, and Levels 3 and 4 run approximately eight weeks each. To enrol, applicants must already be registered as an apprentice in the steamfitter/pipefitter trade with Skilled Trades BC and be eligible to attend the requested level under Skilled Trades BC standards. Level 1 is offered with September and November cohort intakes. Between in-class levels, apprentices accumulate workplace hours and complete trade assessments toward their Skilled Trades BC certification. The program leads toward Red Seal certification as a steamfitter/pipefitter upon completion of all levels and required work-based hours.
