Certificate in Cross-Cultural Discipleship Training

The Cross-Cultural Discipleship Training Certificate is offered by Providence Theological Seminary and focuses on developing cultural awareness and teaching skills for cross-cultural ministry contexts. The 30-credit-hour certificate is delivered through the seminary's non-degree programs and pairs coursework with hands-on ministry experience: students complete a practicum with Project L.A.M.B.S. or another approved agency, applying discipleship and teaching principles in a real cross-cultural setting. Admission is evaluated case by case, and the program is open to applicants without a prior undergraduate degree as well as those who hold one, making it accessible to mature students preparing for missions or discipleship roles. It is coordinated within the seminary by the Associate Professor of Global Studies. As a stand-alone, non-degree certificate, it can be completed independently or used as preparation for further theological or missions study at Providence.
