Overview
This three-year Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies is offered at Providence University College's Otterburne, Manitoba campus. The program is multidisciplinary, drawing on insights from a range of academic fields to build a working knowledge of biblical text and theological method. Students study the Old and New Testaments alongside coursework in biblical interpretation, theology, and related humanities subjects, combined with Providence's general-education and Christian-studies curriculum. Entry into the major requires a grade of C or better in each of the introductory nine credit hours of Biblical Studies coursework. Admission Requirements: Admission to this program follows Providence's general Otterburne Campus undergraduate requirements: an overall high school average of at least 70% (with at least 70% in English), five Grade 12 credits including three university-preparatory (A or S) courses with English among them, for 30 total required credits, plus one reference from a pastor, teacher, guidance counsellor, coach or employer and a $300 confirmation deposit. On top of this, entry into the Biblical Studies major requires a grade of C or better in each of the introductory nine credit hours in Biblical Studies. No English-language proficiency test score is published for domestic applicants on either page; international applicants are directed to Providence's separate international admissions requirements.
