Overview
The Bachelor of Religious Studies – Custom Ministry Track is a three-year, 90-credit-hour degree for students preparing for Christian ministry or building a foundation in Bible and theology for lay ministry. The curriculum is organized into three areas: Biblical & Theological Studies (30 credit hours), covering courses such as Introduction to the Bible, Synoptic Gospels, Pentateuch, Biblical Hermeneutics, Pauline Epistles, Christian Theology, and Salvation & Sanctification; General Arts (30 credit hours), including Introduction to Communication, World Civilizations, History of Christianity, and Leadership Principles; and Professional Studies (30 credit hours), including Global Christian Citizenship, Discipleship I and II, Field Education courses, and 12 credits of professional coursework approved by the VP Academic in consultation with program coordinators. Students complete a Custom Ministry Practicum of at least 600 hours in their final year, with a minimum of 24 credits at the 300 or 400 level. Graduates may pursue full-time pastoral ministry, work with a para-church organization, or continue into seminary studies.

Admission Requirements: Admission is granted by the Admissions Committee on review of a completed application, which includes a non-refundable application fee, the Application for Admission form, an Autobiographical Profile form, the RMC Community Responsibilities Agreement form, two personal reference forms, and official transcripts from secondary and all post-secondary institutions attended. Applicants presenting a high school diploma must have completed four 30-level courses (or equivalents), including English 30-1/30-2 and Social 30-1/30-2 (or equivalents), with a minimum grade average of 65%. Admission may also be granted on the basis of post-secondary transfer, mature student status (21 years or older and out of high school for at least two years), visiting/unclassified student status, or returning student status. Applicants whose first language is not English must demonstrate English proficiency through TOEFL, IELTS, or CAEL.
