Cert in Performing Arts – Preparation

Performing Arts – Preparation is a one-year Ontario College Certificate at Sheridan College, delivered over two semesters. The program introduces students to a range of performing arts disciplines, including acting, singing, dance, and technical production and design, giving them a broad grounding before they specialize further. Instruction is hands-on and delivered by faculty with professional performing arts experience. The certificate is intended as a preparatory step for students planning to advance into more specialized performing arts training, such as a conservatory or performing arts diploma program, rather than as a terminal credential for direct entry into the industry. Coursework combines practical studio work in performance disciplines with technical skills in production and design, giving students exposure to both on-stage and behind-the-scenes aspects of performing arts careers.
