Overview
This 30-credit certificate covers theatre theory, criticism, and history alongside practical training in acting and directing. Students explore dramatic forms and the evolution of Quebec theatre, engage with contemporary theatre theory, and develop skills in oral and written theatre criticism. The program gives access to two theatre studios, rehearsal rooms, and production facilities for sound and video recording and editing. It is nominally one year in length on a full-time basis, though students set their own pace between full-time and part-time study, and up to 15 credits of prior learning may be recognized toward it. International applicants: pre-university diploma totalling 13 years of study, or 12 years plus one year of higher education. Non-francophone applicants: TCF tout public test, minimum 361/699 on mandatory sections and 8/20 on written expression. Fall and Winter admission.
