Overview

Public Relations – Corporate Communications is an Ontario College Graduate Certificate completed in less than a year. The program covers practical and theoretical aspects of business communication through project-based assignments carried out for real clients rather than classroom exercises. Students write persuasive and informative copy for internal and external publications, including news releases, conference presentations and speeches, and create digital content such as websites, blogs, podcasts and video. The final five weeks of the program are spent in an onsite job placement working alongside communications professionals. Admission requires a postsecondary three-year advanced diploma, a three- or four-year degree, or a two-year diploma combined with demonstrated competence through educational or related work experience; applicants relying on a two-year diploma or work experience must submit a written statement of intent, three writing samples and a resume.
