Program details

Overview

This two-year diploma trains motive power technicians to test and analyze vehicle systems against manufacturer specifications, and to diagnose, disassemble, analyze and reassemble major automotive systems and components, with hands-on experience across a wide range of vehicle types and manufacturers. Training uses an in-house chassis and engine dynamometer, an engine machine shop, and modern vehicles and diagnostic equipment and simulators, suited to students with a mechanical aptitude. Graduates typically pursue automotive service and counter-sales roles, including apprenticeships as automotive service, truck and coach, or heavy-duty technicians.
