The Autism & Behavioural Science Graduate Certificate is a one-year Ontario College Graduate Certificate delivered on campus at St. Clair College's main Windsor campus. The programme builds on students' prior post-secondary study to develop specialized knowledge and skills in the assessment and treatment of autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Coursework combines academic study with two field placements, totalling 140 hours over four weeks and 210 hours over six weeks, giving students practical experience supporting individuals with ASD. Field placement settings may include schools, clinics and community or residential service agencies, exposing students to different service-delivery models used in the field. Graduates are prepared to work as part of service delivery teams providing assessment, treatment and behavioural support to individuals with autism spectrum disorder and their families, in settings such as schools, clinics and community agencies.
