Overview
This advanced diploma program is designed for those who are interested in developing mobile applications for smartphones, tablets, and the web. Students will learn and apply techniques in writing apps for major platforms common in today’s mobile application marketplace. In addition, students will develop a deep understanding of object-oriented programming principles, cross-platform development both web and native, user interface design, database fundamentals, systems development, and project management, as well as being introduced to game development techniques. Admission Requirements: Entry requires only an OSSD with the majority of credits at College (C), University (U), University/College (M) or Open (O) level; no additional Grade 12 courses are specified, and mature applicants without an OSSD may write the College's admission tests. The programme page states no language score of its own, so the institution-wide diploma-level English requirement applies: IELTS Academic 6.0 overall, TOEFL iBT 60, PTE Academic 52, CAEL 60, CELPIP General 7.0 in each module, or Duolingo 110, from within the last two years. Domestic applicants apply through Ontario Colleges; international applicants through the International OCAS portal, both on a first-come, first-served/equal-consideration basis.
